Team UPS suffered defeat for the fourth game in a row, this time at the hands of Italy, 10-6. The Italians were led by Roberto Calcaterra, who scored three goals on the day.
UPS held close enough early on, trailing 4-2 at the half, but were unable to gain ground on Italy in the second half. Italy led 7-5 with 2:02 remaining in the game, but Leonardo Sottani gave Italy some breathing room with a penalty shot to go up 8-5.
Merrill Moses made his case for the backup goalie job for the U.S. by collecting a tournament game-high 15 saves. Omar Amr put away two more goals for UPS, giving him five for the tournament.

Croatia converted on 5 of 11 extra man opportunities, but was still unable to overcome Australia in pool play of the UPS Cup on Friday. Australia, who trailed at one point at 6-5, staved off a late game rally by Croatia and held on for the 8-7 win.
It was Australia's first win of the tournament.
Daniel Marsden led the Aussies with three goals, while teammates Tim Neesham and Nathan Thomas scored two apiece. Goalkeeper Rafael Sterk notched 10 saves in the net for Australia.

In the final game on Friday night, in front of a big crowd, the USA rallied from a four-goal deficit to tie the game at 7 in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough for the win as Yugoslavia capitalized on man advantage converting 4 of 8.
Tony Azevedo's last second shot for USA hit the bar of the goal in an effort to tie. He finished the game with two goals, along with teammates Chris Humbert and Sean Kern. For Yugoslavia, Jugoslav Vasovic, Aleksander Sapic, and Dejan Sapic each had two goals apiece.
Yugoslavia remains undefeated so far in the tournament.
