Ryan Held swam a crucial leg on NC State’s winning 4×200 free relay, in which the Wolfpack won in a new US Open record of 6:05.31. Held split 1:31.09 on the second leg.

The senior explained how he motivated Justin Ress, who anchored NC State to victory after being in second heading into the final exchange. Held also discussed how his confidence has shifted since his Olympic berth and said how he loves the atmosphere of the crowd at this meet.
