Tanaka Swims Season’s Fastest 200 Breaststroke

FULLERTON, Calif., Nov. 11. JAPANESE Olympian Masami Tanaka, former world record-holder in the 200 meter (short course) breaststroke, swam the nation's fastest 200 yard breaststroke this season in a Southern California Senior meet this weekend in Fullerton, Calif.

Tanaka, who has been training for the last seven months with the AquaZot Swim Club in Irvine, swam a very quick 2:10.90.

"Masami did this time unrested, as she is in the middle of tough training right now, and will be attending the US Open at the end of the month," said her coach, Brian Pajer.

SWIMINFO will post complete meet results shortly.
