Sehn Seen as Conference Diving Star Again

DALLAS, TX, February 2. TEXAS A&M freshman Eric Sehn (Edmonton, Alberta) was named the Big 12 Conference Male Diver of the Month for January, the conference office announced on Wednesday evening.

Sehn’s award is his third in four possible chances this season. The one month that Sehn did not win the award, December, the Aggies did not compete.

The freshman standout has won each of his last three competitions, posting zone qualifying scores each time. Sehn was named the Diver of the Meet at the Dallas Morning News Swimming & Diving Classic held at Southern Methodist earlier this month and swept both the one and three-meter springboard competitions against LSU in front of a record crowd 11 days ago in College Station.

The No. 16 Aggies will host long-time rival SMU on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Student Rec Center Natatorium in College Station. A&M will travel to Austin the following day for the State Farm Lone Star Showdown against No. 9 Texas at 6 p.m. at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
