Pacific, Fresno Pacific, Loyola Marymount vs. Cal-State Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, California, November 1. IN the quadruple-team dual meets hosted by Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Nov. 1, the Pacific men's swimming team split its events with a 153-131 victory over Fresno Pacific and a 145-116 loss to the hosting Roadrunners as Loyola Marymount does not have a men's team. The women went a perfect 3-0 against all of the day's opponents.

After the meet, the men now move to 1-2 overall, while the women have a 3-1 overall record one month into the season.

The Tigers' combined results boasts many individual and team victories on the day, as freshmen Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.) and junior Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) each recorded two first-place finishes a piece and led all Pacific swimmers. The women recorded another victory as a team when the 200 Medley Relay squad finished first place to start off the day, setting the tone for the afternoon with a 1:49.27 finish. Seniors Jun Huang (Guangzhou, China), Jenny Lewis (Hesperia, Calif.) and April Woo (Honolulu, Hawaii) also swam on that team.

In a second 200-yard event, Walton recorded the men's next individual title when he started off a Pacific sweep of the top three times in the 200 Breast. Patrick recorded a time of 2:14.84 in first, as senior Dave Platow's (Westport, Conn.) 2:15.44 secured him a second-place finish in front of junior Garrett Murphy's (Pleasanton, Calif.) 2:21.27 third-place speed.
