Morning Swim Show: Raising Money For Missy Franklin/Kara Lynn Joyce Film

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 9. DOCUMENTARY filmmaker Christo Brock joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show in the middle of postproduction of a documentary featuring Olympians Missy Franklin and Kara Lynn Joyce.

Brock and co-director Grant Barbeito filmed more than 400 hours of footage for “Touch the Wall,” which chronicles the two swimmers' journeys to the Olympic Games. Brock talks about the beginnings of an idea to film the documentary and the themes of the film. The film is in need of public donations to reach its completion, and Brock talks about the Kickstarter fundraising project he's created to raise $110,000 to finish editing. With about two weeks to go before the deadline, about half of the money needed has been raised, and Brock talks about the consequences of the film if the fundraising goal is not met.
