Miriam Sheehan Breaks Own 50M Back NAG Record

Miriam Sheehan bested her own 10 & under National Age Group record in the 50-meter back with a 32.30 at the Phoenix Summer Invitational. The 10-year old Phoenix Swim Club phenom shaved 0.14 from her original record set in April.

Sheehan’s 50-meter back has been a meteoric success. Heading into 2015, her best time stood at 37.65, which she achieved at the Arizona LC Age Group State Championship. In early April, she blasted a 32.44 to add her name to the NAG record books.

In addition to her Sheehan holds a number of 10&U Arizona LSC records including:

50-meter fly: 30.43 (NAG record)
50-yard fly: 26.64 (NAG record)
100-meter back: 1:10.48*
100-meter fly: 1:10.16*
100-meter free: 1:04.32*
