Katie Hoff Back From Competitive Break, Competes in Speedo Winter Championships

PLANTATION, Florida, November 23. OLYMPIAN Katie Hoff is back from her competitive break from the sport, and swam this evening at the Speedo Winter Championships in Florida.

Hoff topped the women’s 200-yard freestyle this evening in 1:45.93 after clocking a 1:47.10 this morning during prelims. Her time tonight is pretty strong considering the amount of time she’s spent away from the sport and away from full-time training.

Hoff is representing Hurricane Aquatics this weekend in Plantation, and still has the 100 free, 100 IM and 200 IM left on her docket.

In January, Hoff initially made it public that she was taking some time away from the sport to focus on her full-time college schedule.
