ST. MARY'S CITY, Maryland, March 6. ONE day after swimming the second-fastest 500-yard freestyle in history, Katie Hoff just missed the 15-16 NAG record in the 100 free. Competing at the Maryland Swimming Championships, Hoff touched the wall in 48.55, just off Amanda Weir's NAG standard of 48.52.
In the 13-and-14 age group, North Baltimore Aquatic Club's Felicia Lee went a sizzling 1:59.15 in the 200 butterfly. Earlier in the meet, Lee set a 13-14 NAG record in the 100 butterfly with a swim of 53.44.
