Congratulations to Swimming World’s Users for Record-Breaking Week

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 1. JUST a day after the end of the epic 2011 FINA World Long Course Championships, we are still sifting through all of our own personal records here at Swimming World.

We wanted to take the time to congratulate and thank all of our users to helping us to a record-breaking week of coverage here at Swimming World. On top of the awesome numbers we drew from the FINA World Long Course Championships, full event coverage can be found here the 2011 Far Western Long Course Championships presented by SwimmingWorld.TV also added to our numbers. Far Westerns' coverage can be seen here.

Here is some of the data reflecting just how much our users supported Swimming World this past week by reminding people that when the world is focused on swimming, it comes to Swimming World for its coverage:

– We had nearly 200,000 unique visitors between July 24-31.

– Those 200k uniques generated more than 4 million views, nearly 600k visits and more than 40 million ad impressions. That definitely should make the advertisers, who make our coverage possible by supporting Swimming World's mission, pleased that they are supporting the sport.

The total number of views generated is a record for Swimming World, and we thank our users for helping us break that record. We still have records for total number of unique visitors and total number of visits to break, both of which are from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. That week, we nearly broke 1 million visits and had 375k unique visitors. We're certain that our users will help us break those numbers during the 2012 London Olympics!

Once again, we truly appreciate our user support at Swimming World, and will continue to keep up the effort it takes to provide strong coverage by the World's Leading Independent Resource for Aquatic Sports.
