CIF Southern Section Champ Julia Wolf Verbally Commits to Indiana University

NEW COMMIT: Indiana University has picked up another verbal commitment to the Class of 2022. Valencia, California’s Julia Wolf has elected to spend her collegiate years swimming for the Hoosiers.

Wolf swims for Canyons Aquatic Club and is a rising senior at Valencia High School.

At the 2017 CIF Southern Section Division 1 meet Wolf led off (26.90) Valencia’s fourth place 200 medley relay. The junior then won the 50 freestyle by .01, touching in 23.29. She also placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (50.23) before leading (23.19) the team’s 200 freestyle relay to a runner up finish.

Her best SCY times are:

  • 50 Free 22.53
  • 100 Free 49.74
  • 50 Back 28.86
  • 100 Back 56.81

Wolf said in the announcement made on her Instagram,

“Extremely excited to announce my commitment to swim at Indiana University!! Thank you to all my friends and family for the love and support. GO HOOSIERS!! #classof2022 #iuredrevolution”

Her announcement comes on the heels of Emily Weiss‘ decision to join the Class of 2023. Also arriving with Wolf in the fall of 2018 will be Noelle PeplowskiChristin Rockway and Ileah Doctor.

Wolf will be a big point scorer for the Hoosiers. Her best 50 freestyle time would have made her a 2017 Big Ten Championships A finalist. She would have also placed in this year’s 100 freestyle B final.
