Celebrating 25th Anniversary of the 1984 Olympics with Rowdy Gaines on The Morning Swim Show Interview Segment, July 27, 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 27. THE Morning Swim Show starts a special week of interviews celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1984 Olympic Games with three-time gold medalist Rowdy Gaines.

Gaines talks about his emotions regarding the 1980 boycott and how it motivated him to keep swimming until 1984, in a time when post-collegiate swimmers had little to no opportunity for financial support. He also relives the 100 freestyle race and participating on the 400 free relay and 400 medley relay. Watch the interview in the video player below.
