Boys From Cedar Falls Take Iowa HS Title

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa. March, 1. IT was an experience the team from Cedar Falls will remember for some time. They won their high school state championships on the 18th of February with 257.5 points. They won all three relays and had multiple event winners.

They began the meet with a state record in the 200 medley relay. The team of Nick Cordes, Jordan Wessels, Seth Wessels, and Alex Stone clocked in at 1:33.56.

Steven Brus won the 200 free and then it was two more first place finishes for Cedar Falls with Seth Wessels winning the 200 IM and Cordes winning the 50 free.

By the time the boys got to the 200 free relay it was time for another record to fall. This time it was Cordes, Stone, Aaron Zander, and Jordan Wessels with the win at 1:24.58.

Cordes followed that win up with another in the 100 back.
