Arseniy Gvozdeu of Belarus will not be able to compete until April 2019, the result of a positive drug test taken this past April.

Not much is known about Gvozdeu, and information about his status within the Belarusian swimming community was not immediately found on the Belarusian swimming federation’s website. But the FINA announcement regarding the four-year ban given to Gvozdeu says an out-of-competition drug test found the banned anabolic steroid Metandienone in his system.

The test took place February 19, but the ban was not imposed until April 28.

I call for life time ban for any doper caught. So sick of idiots stealing podium from honest clean athletes.

A positive test for prohibited substances or methods is high crime against Sport. Agree.
