Morning Swim Show: Julia Wilkinson Blazed Trail for Texas A&M Success

PHOENIX, Arizona, March 18. NCAA champion, Olympian and new bride Julia Wilkinson joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show to talk about the experience of winning Texas A&M's first NCAA swimming title, and her life after retirement.

Wilkinson won the 100 freestyle at the 2010 NCAA championships, a moment in her career as a Texas A&M Aggie that she will never forget. After redshirting a year to recover from shoulder surgery, Wilkinson had the determination to improve on her second-place finish in 2008, and she talks about how a team board gave her motivation to become national champion. She also looks back on meeting her future husband, and why Texas A&M was immediately a good fit for her when she made her recruiting trip. She also looks at the current crop of Aggies competing this week at the NCAA championships, and how she was in essence a pioneer for their success.
