Correction -- March 5, 2003

PHOENIX, Arizona, March 5. THE quotations included in the recent SwimInfo stories on the Women's Pac-10 Championships were wrongly attributed to UCLA Head Coach Cyndi Gallagher.

Coach Gallagher did not, in fact, make any of the statements attributed to her in the stories.

Upon becoming aware of these errors, SwimInfo immediately removed all of the quotations from the stories.

The author of the articles in question has personally apologized to Coach Gallagher. He is no longer a contributor to Swiminfo.
