NCAA Div. I Men: Stanford Dunks San Francisco State, 68-26

STANFORD, Calif., Nov. 9. THE No. 1-ranked Stanford men's swimming team recorded a 68-26 victory over San Francisco State this afternoon at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif.

The Cardinal began the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay (Cramer, Fowler, McDonald, Siebert) with a time of 1:33.64. Freshmen Thomas Brown and Eric DiIulio finished one-two respectively in the 1000 free while in the 200 free, Rick Yang and Tucker Cunningham also touched one-two.

The fourth event of the day was the 50 free where Scott Ransenberg took first (21.51) followed by teammate Jamie Daggett (22.13). Nick Bott claimed top honors in the 200 IM in a time of 1:56.86 while Matt
McDonald touched second (1:56.89). Alec Sheehy and Bott finished one-two respectively in the 100 fly.

Event seven was the 100 free where freshman Jayme Cramer placed first (47.08) and frosh Rick Yang took second (47.96). Mark Siebert finished first in the 100 back in a time of 53.43. DiIulio took top honors in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:44.43 followed by teammate Tucker Cunningham at 4:53.05.

Peter Lennox-King turned in the best time in the 100 breast (58.88) followed by Pat Fowler at 1:00.07. Stanford's 200 free relay team of Cramer, Ransenberg, Siebert and Yang posted a time of 1:26.09 to close out the meet.
