SHERMAN, Texas, February 24. THE Austin College community is saddened by the death of freshman Chase Gaddy of Dallas in a motorcycle accident Wednesday, February 23, in Sherman. The accident occurred east of Sherman on Highway 82.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share this sad news with our community," said Austin College President Marjorie Hass. "I know our students, faculty, and staff join me in prayers of comfort for Chase's family and friends."
Chase was a resident of Baker Hall, a diver on the Austin College swim team, and had participated in Austin College football in the fall. He was a member of Hank Gorman's Communication/Inquiry freshman seminar class.
