KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, February 13. LAST night at the Tennessee State High School Championships, the Baylor School lowered the National High School Record in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay.
Kristen Vredeveld, Ashley Yearwood, Emma Michaels and Arden Pitman put together a swift time of 1:32.63 in the event. That swim not only downed the independent school record of 1:33.35 set by Baylor back in 2009, it also clipped the 1:32.75 that Carmel set in 2009 that had stood as both the overall and public school records.
Notably, Vredeveld's leadoff time of 22.45 lowered her own Tennessee State record in the 50 free.
