MADISON, Wisconsin, January 11. SARAH Lynn Stickels, a coach with the East YMCA Swim Team, died Friday in an automobile crash.
Stickels was driving to a swim meet in La Crosse through a blowing snowstorm when a semi-trailer hit her car after Stickels had begun to proceed through an intersection, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Stickels was a part of the YMCA system as a swimming coach and teacher in the Madison area for more than 40 years. A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Lake Edge Lutheran Church, 4032 Monona Drive, in Madison.
