Van Dyken Returning to NRT -- June 23, 1997

Amy Van Dyken, who won four gold medals at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, will be returning to the U.S. National Resident Team in Colorado Springs to train under NRT head coach, Jonty Skinner.

Van Dyken, who hopes to earn a berth on the U.S. team that will compete at the World Championships in Perth, Australia, next January, has been swimming significantly slower than she did a year ago. She hopes that she can return to her gold-medal form under the guidance of Skinner.

The U.S. national team will be chosen at the U.S. National Championships to be held in Nashville, TN July 26 - August 1.
