HOUSTON, Texas, September 9. FLEET Swimming's Head Age Group Coach Allen Salinas was struck and killed by a pick-up truck while jogging on Tuesday, Sept. 7, according to MyFox Houston.
While jogging at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday on a road without sidewalks, Salinas was struck by the truck. According to the report, the driver "stopped and called for help, but it was too late." Salinas later died at the hospital.
Salinas joined Fleet in September 2002, and had since moved up to the position of Head Age Group Coach. He graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in kinesiology and creative writing.
