Foschi Reinstated -- June 18, 1997

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, - Jessica Foschi had her 2-year suspension for steroid use cut by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, clearing the way for her immediate return to international competition.

FINA who had banned Foschi after she tested positive for the steroids at the 1995 U.S. Summer National Championships and who later turned down an appeal, were ordered to pay the American teenager 15,000 Swiss francs to cover her court costs.
