BUFFALO, New York, March 11. THE first night of short course yard action at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Buffalo featured a pair of distance freestyle events.
SoNoCo's Alicia Mathieu grabbed the women's 1650 freestyle crown going away with a 16:24.04. That performance stood well ahead of the second-place time of 16:44.60 clocked by Magnus' Erin Foley. Maggie D'Innocenzo of Magnus finished third overall in 16:48.85.
Peddie's Connor Signorin cruised in the men's 1000 free with a winning time of 9:13.44. Berkeley's Paul Nolle took second overall in 9:17.72, while Magnus' Kevin Bradley snagged third in 9:20.94.
