USA Swimming Sectionals, Nashville: Final Night Comes To Close

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, March 7. THE final night of short course yard competition took place at the USA Swimming Sectionals in Nashville on Sunday.

Star's Faith Johnson snatched the women's 100 free title in 50.23, while Wildcat's Kristen Wilson took second in 50.94. Lakeside's Caroline Thomas finished third in 51.21. Mount Pleasant Swim Club's Jonathan Lierley topped the men's 100 free in 45.66. Summit's Doug Reynolds took second in 45.67, while Ray's Brian McClintock placed third in 46.57.

Marlins of Raleigh's Victoria Mitchell captured the women's 1650 free with a time of 16:43.98, while GCAT's Erika Wozniak took second in 16:49.66. Dynamo's Sara Williford rounded out the top three in 17:03.43. Nashville's Dakota Hodgson snagged the men's 1650 free with a 15:12.12, while Pilot's Evan Pinion finished second in 15:20.98. Dynamo's Matias Koski snagged third in 15:31.83.

SwimMAC's Collin Higgins pocketed the men's 200 back in 1:47.15, while Dynamo's Allen Browning placed second in 1:47.72. GCAT's Preston Jenkins touched third in 1:48.28. Swim Spartanburg's Chrissy Oberg won the women's 200 back in 2:00.64. Gold's Aubree Duncan took second in 2:00.69, while Lakeside's Marisa McGlynn claimed third in 2:02.87.

Waves of Wilmington's Cari Blalock snagged the women's 200 IM in 2:02.42, while Gold's Anna Neumeister (2:04.25) and Lakeside's Summer Stephens (2:05.54) completed the top three. Dynamo's Jack Lane won the men's 200 IM in 1:51.33. Lierley finished second in 1:53.63, while GCAT's Kaleb Jenkins earned third in 1:54.72.
