INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, July 9. TENNESSEE's Christine Magnuson missed her world record and American record attempts during the special women's 50 fly time trial set up at the end of the evening.
Magnuson clocked a time of 26.07, which missed Dara Torres' national mark of 25.72 and Marleen Veldhuis' global standard of 25.33.
Western Kentucky's Claire Donahue (27.03) and North Baltimore's Christie Raleigh (27.45) bracketed Magnuson's attempt.
