World Cup, Stockholm: Flash Cameron van der Burgh Breaks 26 in Sprint Breast -- November 11, 2008

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, November 11. SOUTH Africa's Cameron van der Burgh blitzed his world record in the 50 breast by breaking 26 seconds at the FINA World Cup stop in Sweden.

van der Burgh dropped a time of 25.94 to break his global standard of 26.08 set during the Moscow stop.


Vlad Polyakov of Kazakhstan took second in 26.72, while Australia's Christian Sprenger placed third in 26.86.
