World Cup, Moscow: Flash Cameron van der Burgh Sets Second World Record in as Many Days -- November 9, 2008

MOSCOW, Russia, November 9. FOR the second time in as many days, South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh set a global standard at the FINA World Cup stop held in Moscow.

A day after taking down the 50 breast record, van der Burgh etched his name in the 100 breast world record column. van der Burgh posted a swift time of 56.88 in the 100 breast to crush the 57.47 set by Ed Moses during the Stockholm stop of the 2002 World Cup.


Ukraine's Igor Borysik finished second in 57.94, while Australia's Christian Sprenger placed third in 58.05.
