MOSCOW, Russia, November 8. SOUTH Africa's Cameron van der Burgh posted the third sprint world record of the FINA World Cup series this season with a strong swim in the 50 breast.

van der Burgh blitzed the sprint event with a time of 26.08, wiping out the 26.17 set by Oleg Lisogor of Ukraine back in 2006.

Australia's Christian Sprenger wound up taking second in 26.82, while Brazil's Felipe Silva placed third in 27.00.
