Jason Lezak Participates in Swim For Life

CORONA DEL MAR, California, September 17. OVER the weekend, Olympic gold medalist Jason Lezak participated in a Swim For Life ocean swim held in Corona del Mar, Calif.

Lezak, the U.S. Olympic hero in the men's 400 freestyle relay at the 2008 Beijing Games, lent his support to the cause of helping prevent drowning.

Other notable participants included Olympians Bruce Furniss ('76 Olympics), Erich Fischer (‘92 Olympics), Andrew Strenk ('68 Olympics) and John Mykkanen ('84 Olympics) as well as Chad Hundeby, the world record-holder for the English Channel swim for 11 years. Legendary Newport Beach lifeguard and water safety proponent, 74-year-old Buddy Belshe also helped with the event.
