The Morning Swim Show: Margaret Hoelzer, Natalie Coughlin and Cullen Jones Talk About Medal-Winning Races in Beijing; Melissa Belote Ripley Relives 100 Back Gold Medal Swim From 1972 -- August 12, 2008

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 12. JUST a couple of hours after winning medals in the women's 100 backstroke, The Morning Swim Show catches up with Margaret Hoelzer and Natalie Coughlin, and talks to Cullen Jones the day after swimming on the miraculous 400 free relay.

Hoelzer says though the 100 back bronze medal gives her confidence, she is not assuming she is the heavy favorite in the 200 back, the event in which she holds the world record. Coughlin talks about the emotion of defending the 100 back, and why she's not concerned right now about taking back the world record.

Cullen Jones, the third swimmer on the USA's victorious 400 free relay, gives viewers perspective of what he was doing while Jason Lezak was swimming the final leg of the race, and why he wasn't next to Michael Phelps and Garrett Weber-Gale at the finish.

In today's Olympic Rewind segment, we hear from Melissa Belote Ripley, the gold medalist in the 100 back in 1972. Then a 15-year-old, Belote Ripley talks about taking down the world record holder and American teammate Susie Atwood.
