Brendan Capell, Anna Uvarova Win FINA Open Water Grand Prix Serbia Stop

SABAC, Serbia, July 14. OVER the weekend, Australia's Brendan Capell and Russia's Anna Uvarova won the men's and women's races during the Sabac, Serbia stop of the FINA Open Water Grand Prix. During the fifth leg of the series, Capell won the 19K swim in 2:39:57, while Uvarova earned the women's title in 2:48:22.

France's Stephane Gomez took second in the men's race in 2:41:23, while Russia's Daniil Serebrennikov wound up third in 2:42:01. Surprisingly, Bulgaria's Petar Stoychev finished back in fifth after winning the first three legs.

Russia's Ekaterina Zhdanova picked up second in the women's race in 2:48:52, while Germany's Britta Kamrau-Corestein finished third in 2:48:54.
