Flash! French Quartet Downs Men's 400 Free Relay World Record over Short Course -- December 22, 2007
ISTRES, France, December 22. THE French foursome of Fabien Gilot (46.54), Gregory Mallet (47.26), Romain Caffet (48.29) and Fred Bousquet (46.20) broke the men's 400 freestyle relay world record over the short course with a blazing time of 3:08.29.
The Cercle De Nageurs de Marseille contingent surpassed the previous standard of 3:09.57 set by the Swedish squad of Johan Nystrom (49.04), Lars Frolander (45.69), Mattias Ohlin (47.87) and Stefan Nystrand (46.97) in March of 2000.
