FINA Announces Decision on Rebeca Gusmao Doping Case -- November 5, 2007

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, November 5. FINA announced its decision regarding a positive out-of-competition doping control test on July 13 for Brazilian swimmer Rebeca Gusmao.

The organization elected to provisionally suspend Gusmao until a hearing before the FINA Doping Panel can be made. The suspension went into effect on Nov. 2, and Gusmao is not eligible to compete in any FINA-related function.

Gusmao testedt positive for Anabolic Androgenic Steroids.
