Three Vietnamese National Records Fall -- September 24, 2007

HANOI, Vietnam, September 24. ACCORDING to a report by Nhan Dan, a trio of national records fell during the opening day of swimming at the Vietnamese National Championships held in Hanoi.

Nguyen Huu Viet clocked a time of 29.60 in the men's 50-meter breaststroke to surpass his previous standard of 29.66. Meanwhile, Vo Thi Thanh Vy touched in 1:00.28 in the women's 100-meter freestyle to break An Do Hanh's standard of 1:00.36.

Huu Viet later went on to eclipse his previous standard of 1:03.90 in the men's 100-meter breaststroke with a new time of 1:03.63 during the second day of swimming.
