Ralph Crocker Fund For Excellence Established At Auburn

AUBURN, Alabama, May 21. AUBURN University announced today that an endowed scholarship in Ralph Crocker's name has been established. The scholarship, which will only be available for the swimming and diving team, has been named the Ralph Crocker Fund for Excellence.

Crocker, who was Auburn's Associate Director of Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving, died on January 14 after a lengthy illness at the age of 52. A former Auburn swimmer and 1977 Auburn graduate, Crocker had been with the Auburn swimming and diving program since June, 1999.

This scholarship can only take effect if the $25,000+ is raised within five years and/or at least $5,000 each year. The Auburn Aquatic Swim Team committed a portion of the profit from the Ralph Crocker Swim Meet Invitational held in February.

Individuals or groups interested in making a contribution to the Ralph Crocker Fund for Excellence can mail checks to the Tigers Unlimited Foundation, Attn. Helen Yates, P.O. Box 351, Auburn, AL 36831 (please note the Crocker Endowment designation on check). All donations are tax deductible.

Special thanks to Auburn for contributing this report.
