Swiss National Long Course Championships Conclude

ZURICH, Switzerland, May 13. THE fourth and final day of the Swiss National Long Course Championships held in Zurich, Switzerland from May 10-13 finished without another Swiss national record falling.

Over the four-day event, a pair of individual national standards fell as Jonathan Massacand set the men's 200 back with a time of 2:03.04 and Flori Lang shot down the men's 50 back standard with a time of 25.34.

Men's 200 IM
Stephan Bachmann nipped Jonathan Massacand in the shorter IM as Bachmann touched in 2:05.23. Massacand clocked a 2:05.53, while Dimitri Waeber closed out the top three in 2:09.62.

Women's 200 IM
Marina Ribi hit the wall first in 2:22.97, while Celina Baillod settled for silver in 2:24.70. Kitty Zonderop rounded out the podium in 2:25.59.

Men's 100 butterfly
Damien Courtois touched out Christian Schneiter in the men's 100 fly, 55.38 to 55.40. Simon Oberholzer, meanwhile, grabbed bronze in 55.84.

Women's 100 butterfly
Maria Ugolkova snapped up the women's 100 fly title in 1:03.26, while Senata Wagner (1:04.76) and Nicole Agustoni (1:05.13) finished second and third, respectively.

Men's 50 freestyle
Christian Schneiter came back in the men's splash-and-dash with a time of 23.46 for the win. Alessandro Gaffuri finished second in 23.56, while John Herzig placed third in 23.69.

Women's 50 freestyle
Laura Noccioli took home the gold in 26.41, while Allegra Schaer (27.16) and Celine Baillod (27.41) garnered silver and bronze, respectively.
