Felipe Lima Sets South American, Brazilian 50 Breast Record at Maria Lenk Championships

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, May 5. FELIPE Lima highlighted today's action at the Maria Lenk Championships held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from May 1-6 with a South American and Brazilian record in the men's 50 breaststroke event.

Lima hit the wall in 28.11 to eclipse the previous standard of 28.21 set by Eduardo Fischer on May 10, 2003.

Other male winners included Lucas Salatta (1:59.46 – 200 fly), and Felipe Araujo (8:06.91 – 800 free).

Meanwhile, Mariana Katsun (33.78 – 50 breast), Georgina Bardach (2:13.09 – 200 fly) and Kristel Kobrich (16:39.23 – 1500 free) topped the women's events.
