Vermont Announces Recruiting Class -- May 5, 2007
BURLINGTON, Vermont, May 5. THE University of Vermont announced its 2007-08 incoming class today that will be made up of 19 freshmen and one sophomore transfer.
The newcomers next season will include: Lisa Colombo (Sudbury, Mass.), Kat Cupka (Morristown, N.J.), Jacie Dick (South Barrington, Ill.), Ana Ellis (Ridgewood, N.J.), Jen Geary (Andover, Mass.), Renee Gliddon (Acton, Mass.), Nicole Keeman (East Walpole, Mass.), Blayne Knapp (Glens Falls, N.Y.), Gretchen Kurdziel (Stratford, Conn.), Lauren Mayo (Chelmsford, Mass.), Summer Pacelli (Madison, Conn.), Michelle Patrick (Jericho, Vt.), Cortney Phillips (Wayside, N.J.), Elle Roberson (Dryden, N.Y.), Brittany Sadoff (Highland Park, Ill.), Becca Scholtes (Winnetka, Ill.), Alexis Smith (Washington, D.C.), Stephanie Tomlin (Park City, Utah), Katherine Weaver (South Burlington, Vt.), and Lauren Wilson (Reading, Mass.).
"I am very excited about the depth and talent of this class," said head coach Gerry Cournoyer. "This is by far our biggest class ever for the women's team. Each one of these student-athletes can have a direct impact on the upcoming season. It is a great feeling that our program has attracted so much interest and I am looking to have an even stronger season next year."
