Virginia Tech Victim a Member of Peruvian Swimming Federation -- April 17, 2007
BLACKSBURG, Virginia, April 17. ONE of the 32 individuals slain in the shooting at Virginia Tech University on Monday was a member of the Peruvian Swimming Federation. Daniel Perez Cueva, a 21-year-old, was killed during the shootings in Norris Hall, where he was attending a French class. Cueva did not compete collegiately for Virginia Tech, but his mother indicated in an interview with the Journal Peru that he enjoyed and excelled in the sport.
Swimming World Magazine sends its condolences to the Virginia Tech community and family and friends of loved ones who were senselessly killed during the events of Monday morning.
