Jessica Long Highlights Great GTAC Disability Open/National Deaf Games Meet -- April 17, 2007

ROCHESTER, Michigan, April 17. SULLIVAN award winner Jessica Long provided one of the brightest of many inspirational performances at the GTAC Disability Open/National Deaf Games held April 13-15 in Rochester, Mich., on the campus of Oakland University.

Long set a pair of world records in the S8 division with wins in the 200 and 1500 free. Meanwhile, Marcus Titus, a deaf swimmer competing for the Pan American and World Deaf Championship Team, set four American records in the S15 class in the 50, 100 and 200 breast as well as the 50 fly. Additionally, Marin Morrison, a first-time Paralympic performer who had been a Junior National qualifier prior to suffering from a debilitating brain tumor, set American and Pan-American standards in the 50 back and 50 fly.
