Augustin Leaving Post with Germany's Anti-Doping Agency -- March 9, 2007
MUNICH, Germany, March 9. ROLAND Augustin is leaving his post as the Managing Director of Germany's anti-doping agency, according to a report by SwimNews. Augustin will leave his position on April 30, largely due to the realization of major flaws in the drug-testing system used in Germany. His term as Managing Director would expire two months later.
Earlier this year, the National Anti-Doping Agency indicated that 200-plus athletes skipped out on doping tests last year. Compounding the problem, NADA did not report the missed tests to the various athletic federations that were affected.
