Stanford's Krug Pockets One-Meter Diving Title By Jason Marsteller
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, March 8. IN a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final dive, Stanford's Cassidy Krug out-dueled Indiana's Christina Loukas with a huge final dive of 66.30 points for Stanford's first one-meter diving title in program history.
Krug finished the evening finals with a score of 361.55, while Loukas placed a close second with 360.35 points. Miami's Jenna Dreyer nabbed third with 350.55 points.
After the diving event, Arizona owned first with 134 points, while Auburn sat in second with 129 points. Stanford moved even closer with a third-place 91.5, while Georgia (68) and Texas A&M (58.5) remained in fourth and fifth, respectively.
