INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, February 10. A week ago, Mary Beck (Austin Westlake) set a national high school record in the 200-yard individual medley while competing in a regional-championship meet in Texas. Well, her time of 1:58.28 had a short shelf life. Saturday, at the Indiana State Champs, Center Grove's Michelle McKeehan clocked in at 1:58.06. McKeehan won the race by more than four seconds and threw down the gauntlet for Beck, who will race at the Texas State Champs next weekend.
