Germans Set for Training Camps -- January 27, 2007

MUNICH, Germany, January 27. TUNING up for the World Championships in Melbourne in March, some of Germany's top swimmers will take part in altitude training starting next week. For the athletes who do not want to train at altitude, another camp will be held for preparation purposes. The Germans, particularly the women, are expected to perform at a high level in Melbourne.

The individuals attending the altitude camp are: Paul Biedermann, Marco di Carli, Helge Meeuw, Christian Hein, Stefan Herbst,Jens Kruppa, Johannes Neumann, Antje Buschulte, Meike Freitag, Annika Mehlhorn and Anne Poleska.

Training in regular conditions will be: Lars Conrad, Thomas Rupprath, Jens Schreiber, Jens Thiele, Steffan Deibler, Steffan Driesen, Toni Franz, Leif-Marten Krüger, Thomas Lurz, Michael Schubert, Benjamin Starke, Oliver Wenzel, Petra Dallman, Daniela Götz, Nicole Hetzer, Annika Lurz, Janine Pietsch, Sarah Poewe, Daniela Samulski, Britta Steffen, Birte Steven.
