Baron Now Looking Fine for World Champs -- January 26, 2007
PARIS, France, January 26. JUST days after reports suggested her World Championships were in jeopardy, it appears that France's Esther Baron will be ready to go for the March competition in Melbourne. According to a report by Craig Lord of SwimNews, Baron has been cleared by doctors and is set to embrace a full training routine.
Baron is the reigning European champion in the 200 backstroke and figures to be in the medal mix in Melbourne over her prime event. She had been bothered by a groin injury, but tests showed that the injury wasn't as severe as first expected.
