Bruce, Rudolf Tabbed Swimming World Magazine College Swimmers of the Week

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 25. TODAY, SwimmingWorldMagazine.com announced that Stanford University junior Caroline Bruce and University of Florida freshman Roland Rudolf were named Swimming World Magazine's College Swimmers of the Week.

The award is an extension of the National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week honors given out by Collegeswimming.com across three divisions of NCAA competition. While both Bruce and Rudolf earned their respective Division I accolades, West Chester University's Kathrin Dumitru and Fairmont State University's Matej Tomas Division II NCSW honors this week. Meanwhile, Williams College's Amanda Nicholson and SUNY Geneseo's James Kallio took Division III NCSW honors. Bruce led top-ranked Stanford to a 174-111 win over No. 11 USC in its final home dual meet of the season. The win moved the Cardinal just one victory away from its first unbeaten dual meet season since 2001-02. Bruce notched A-cut times in both the 100 (1:01.41) and the 200 (2:11.31) breaststroke events to earn her citation.

Rudolf won a pair of individual events to lead No. 11 Florida over No. 18 Alabama (172-128) and South Carolina (190-109). He swept the backstroke events with a 49.94 in the 100 back and a B-cut time of 1:46.79 in the 200 back. Against Auburn a day earlier, he won the 500 free with a B-cut time of 4:24.14 and the 200 back with a B-cut time of 1:45.24.
