Steffen, Meeuw Tabbed German Swimmers of the Year -- January 24, 2007
HAMBURG, Germany, January 24. RECENTLY, the German Swimming Federation named Britta Steffen and Helge Meeuw its Swimmers of the Year.
Steffen won with 325 points over second-place Janine Pietsch (256) and third-place Annika Lurz (253).
Meanwhile, Meeuw took the title with 334 points to beat second-place Thomas Lurz (303) and third-place Christian Hein (184).
To be nominated for the award, eight competitions are taken into account as well as the World Cup and European Cup events including bonus points derived from the FINA Points long course points table.
