Industry News: International Swimming Hall of Fame Web Site Review

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 11. RECENTLY, the International Swimming Hall of Fame freshened up its web site for the third time since the 1997 inception of ISHOF.org.

Previously, the site served more as an informational tool for current and potential members of ISHOF. At the time, that was perfect for the site's purpose.

ISHOF, however, has made it a priority with its newest look to offer its viewership a much deeper look into the history of the sport. In possibly the coolest part of the new site, ISHOF has been converting its film and video archive, which dates back to the 1920s, into online format.

For instance, the site has video on the 1948 Japanese Nationals, 1964 AAU Nationals, Carin Cone, Donna deVarona, Dave Edgar, Chet Jastremski, Laurie Lawrence, Gail Neall, Kieren Perkins and Don Schollander. This is just the tip of the iceberg of video content, as broadcasts from diving, Masters, open water and Synchro can also be found.

ISHOF.org also offers a photo archive well-presented in slideshow format for the ease of all visitors.

These new features only add to the already deep informational content provided on ISHOF.org about the Hall of Fame and its current exhibits.

Feel free to take a look at the fresh ISHOF.org site. Also, if you love the sport and want to support its history, you may purchase a family membership to ISHOF by clicking here.
