Israeli National Swimming Coach Fired
TEL-AVIV, Israel, December 27. AFTER a short time as the Israeli national head swimming coach, Dr. Dimitri Mansevich was fired by the Israel Swimming Association on Tuesday.
The Israel Swimming Association followed the recommendation made by the Israel Olympic Committee, that a day earlier suggested that the coach be dismissed after introducing the use of the unauthorized food supplement iSatori ISA-Test to elite Israeli swimmers.
The Israel Swimming Association also added that Mansevich, the former coach of the Slovenian team, did not communicate well with the Israeli elite coaches and did not pay suitable attention to the needs of the Israeli swimming scene.
Special thanks to Dr. Buky Chass, our chief Israeli correspondent, for contributing this report.
